James Douglas Martin

James Douglas Martin, Sr., 72, of Hopewell, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013. He was the son of the late Thomas C. and Grace Webster Martin; and was also preceded in death by his son, Timothy Martin; and two brothers, Jack and Carl Martin. Mr. Martin is survived by his son James D. Martin, Jr.; a brother, Richard E. Martin and wife, Bernice; a sister-in-law, Iris Martin; lifelong friend, Linda Emory and her staff; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September, 5, 2013 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
