James Thurman Cox

James Thurman Cox, 98, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014. Thurman was a native of Prince George County and was a lifelong farmer and also enjoyed hunting. Thurman was the grounds keeper for Newville Methodist Church until the age of 97. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles L. and Bessie Bratton Cox, his brother, M. Wilson Cox and niece, Glennice Taylor. He is survived by his nieces, Mary Massey (Willie) and Clare Crites (Jerry); great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as many other extended friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Brighter Living for the devoted care given to Mr. Cox.
