James Costley

James Albert Costley, age 66, of Chester, Virginia, formerly of Maine, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2009. He was born in Waterville, Maine, son of the late Albert and Hazel Alexander Costley. Mr. Costley was an avid fisherman. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years of service. Mr. Costley is survived by his daughter, Holly Costley of East Machias, ME and Paula C. Maker and husband, Tony of Machiasport, ME; grandchildren, Seth, Jacob, Rachael, Hannah and Abigail; fiancé, Anne C. Bledsoe of Chester; sisters, Reta Young and husband, Carroll and Jane Bird and husband, Al; brother, Fred Costley; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will take place in the chapel at McGuire Medical Center on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 3 p.m. Memorial contributions in his honor can be made to your local Veteran organization.
