Jackson "Jack" Wayne Crowder, Sr.

Jackson "Jack" W. Crowder, Sr., 76, of North Dinwiddie, VA, died September 19, 2026. He was born and raised in Petersburg, VA. He was the son of the late Calvin "Mutt" and Edna Crowder. He was preceded in death by his parents; numerous siblings; children, Jackson W. Crowder, Jr. and Melanie Crowder Graves; and son-in-law, Gene Brown, Jr.

Jack is survived by his wife of 23 years, Jean F. Crowder, with whom he shared 34 years together; brothers, William "Lee" Crowder (Nancy) and Gary Crowder; daughter-in-law, Monica Crowder; stepchildren, Becky Lewis (Bobby), Sharon Brown, and Norman Howerton (Robin); grandchildren, Meila and Gavin Crowder, Barbara Luck (Chris), Gene Brown, III. (Katie), and Jessica Howerton; and great-grandchildren, Natalie, Harper, and Carter Luck.

Jack was a Vietnam Veteran with the U.S. Navy SeaBees and made a career as a Master Plumber. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, and golf, and he loved to watch racing and football. Jack was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

There will be a graveside service at 2:00p.m. on September 28, 2026, at Southlawn Memorial Park in Prince George, Virginia. The family is being served by the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
