Jack Willard “Billy” Griggs, Jr., 69, of Prince George, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013. He was the son of the late Jack W. Griggs, Sr. and Edna May Rose. He was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Hughes. Billy was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Hopewell for over 20 years and a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans. He loved Nascar and was a former race car driver and had a love and passion for Volkswagens. He enjoyed watching football, being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Griggs is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Tamara N. “Tammy” Griggs; son, Jack W. “Bill” Griggs, III and wife, Crystie; daughter, Diana Kestner and husband, Jeff; granddaughter, Krista Kestner; brothers, Thomas R. Griggs, Johnny L. Griggs; close friends and neighbor, Diane and Larry Milam and special friend, Maryann Harvey; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
