Hester "Nancy" Boswell

Hester "Nancy" Boswell, 90, of Colonial Heights passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. She is preceded in death by her parents, Giles Alvin Cliborne and Agnes Bethel Hudson Cliborne; her husband, Charles Aubrey Boswell, Jr.; her sons, Allen Dale Weaver and Hubert "Lee" Weaver III; her step-daughter, Georgia B. Gryder; her three sisters, Agnes Lee Harrison, Ruth C. Campbell, and Joyce C. Craddock; as well as her beloved pets, Buddy and Callie. Nancy worked for over thirty years at John Tyler Community College. She was an active member of the Rebekah Lodge, and a longtime and devoted member of St. Andrew's Church. She is survived by her children, Larry C. Weaver (Mary Beth) and Lynette Faye Ellis; her step-children, Mary S. De Sousa, Steven H. Stephenson, Sandra B. Gauldin, and Charlotte B. Webb; her six loving grandchildren; her four adoring great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family invites friends to visit with them on Monday, March 16, 2026 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia at 2 PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Colonial Heights SPCA.
