Helen Byrum Ragland

Helen Byrum Ragland, 74, of Chesterfield, VA passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2013. Born in Corapeake, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Elton and Elizabeth Byrum. Meeting the love of her life, Richard, at Thalhimers, she took on the career as mom for many years until becoming an apartment manager for Mount Royal Mgmt Co. She was an active member in the Old Dominion Herb Society, The Herb Society of America, and the James River Woman’s Club. Mrs. Ragland was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Vernon Ragland. She is survived by her son, Mark Ragland; and sister, Gloria Wiggins. She was a loving mother and a dedicated wife. A memorial service will take place at the Chester Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be donated in her honor to Horizons Hospice, 3228 West Cary Street, Suite B, Richmond, VA 23221.
