Helen Minetree Bowles, age 95, of Chester, Virginia passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 after a long struggle with dementia. She was a former executive secretary for 25 years to the Superintendent of Schools of Chesterfield County. She also served as secretary to the County School Board for most of that time. She was well known throughout the county system for her dedication, accuracy, and dependability. She is survived by her loving son, Dr. William Bowles and his wife, Raquel; four grandchildren, Phillip, Hannah, Olivia, Ben; brother, William Donald Minetree, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Chester Chapel with a private interment following in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.
