Helen Faye Allen Talbott, 77, of N. Dinwiddie, VA, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 8, 2026. Born and raised in Dillwyn, VA, she was the daughter of the late J. Lenard Allen and Gladys Dean Allen. In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by a brother, L. Rogers Allen.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Byrnal "Bunny" Talbott. Faye and Bunny were married for over 55 years and were rarely seen apart. They were best friends and each other's strongest support system. It was truly a blessing to see their love in this life. She also leaves behind her children, Shannon T. Moody and her husband, Lee, Timothy K. Talbott and his wife, Tonia; grandchildren, Katelyn M. Cowper (Peter), Madison L. Moody, Piper M. Talbott, Bryce T. Little, and Allison L. Cox (Jackson); and one great-grandchild, Cora L. Cox.
Faye was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother and will be truly missed at every family function that she looked so forward to on every occasion. She will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and devotion to her friends and family. Faye was a strong, beautiful, and creative woman with many hidden talents. She could sew, crochet, and paint, and she was a whiz with numbers. She was an animal lover of all, but she adored all her rescued cats. Her family never left her presence without a hug, a kiss, and her telling them how proud she was of them. She would speak to everyone and never knew a stranger.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, September 18th, 2026, at Pine Grove Baptist Church, N. Dinwiddie, with Rev. Rodney Jenkins and G. Lee Moody officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 pm at Cedar Baptist Church, Dillwyn, VA. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 17th, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Pine Grove Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church, 22218 Dabney Mill Rd., N. Dinwiddie, VA 23803. The family is being served by the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
