Hazel R. Murrell

Hazel Reese Murrell, 89, of Colonial Heights, died Monday, September 3, 2012. She was a native of Dinwiddie County, born the daughter of the late Thomas and Lucy Reese. Mrs. Murrell was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas D. Murrell; and a son, Daniel L. Murrell. She is survived by her son, George Thomas Murrell and his wife Maureen, of Prince George; a daughter-in-law, Mary Eileen Murrell of Knoxville, TN; three granddaughters, Heather Nichole Murrell and her fiancé Brent Daniel Mallon, of Chester, Julie Marie Murrell and Melissa Ashley Murrell both of Knoxville, TN. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon at the Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park.
