Guadalupe Vargas

Guadalupe Medellin Vargas, 63, of Prince George County, was called suddenly to eternal life on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at his home. Born in Asherton, Texas, he was the son of the late Antonio Vargas and Herminia Lucas. He served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War, retiring as a Sergeant First Class in 1983. He retired from civil service at Fort Lee in 2003. He is survived by his wife, Jean Vargas of Prince George; step-children, Michael Bryson of Nashville, TN and Colette Cerve of Hampton, VA; grandson, Michael Bryson stationed in Germany; brother, Juan M. Vargas; sister, Rosa M. Lucas both of Nampa, ID; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Friday, April 18, 2008 at the Fort Lee Memorial Chapel.
