Grace Evelyn Turner Kidd

Grace Evelyn Turner Kidd, 83, of Tazewell, Virginia passed away on September 23, 2026.

Grace was born and raised in Chesterfield, Virginia and later lived in Amelia, Virginia for 35 years, spending the last 11 years in Tazewell County, Virginia. She was a daughter of the late Robert Linwood Turner and Della Heacock Turner. Raised in a tight knit farming family, she lived on farms her entire life. Grace retired from Chesterfield County Treasurer's Office with 36 years of service and later worked at Jim Royall Heating.

Some of Grace's favorite things included sunflowers, hummingbirds, and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Royster Kidd, Jr.; brothers, Garland L. Turner (Anne), Robert M. Turner (Elizabeth), and Lloyd Earl Turner. Grace is survived by her children, Richard Neal Kidd and Theresa Louise Kidd (Paul); her sisters, Millie Paulette and Rose Turner; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at the Wilson-Turner Family Cemetery, 12420 Bundle Rd., Chesterfield, VA 23838. There will be a visitation for family and friends the night prior from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
