Glenn Franklin Chappell

Glenn Franklin Chappell, age 69, of Carson, VA, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 at his residence. Born September 8, 1943 in Dinwiddie County, he was the son of the late Howard Franklin and Ruby Hoverstock Chappell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, E. Elmer Jeter and A. Kennon Jeter. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carol Crowder Chappell; sons, Dr. Glenn Franklin Chappell, II and wife, Kay, and Dr. Howard Karl Chappell and wife, Kimberly; grandchildren, Glenn Franklin Chappell, III and wife, Brittney, Elizabeth Lee Chappell, Sallie Louise Chappell, Grant Higgins Chappell and Ruby Grace Chappell. Mr. Chappell was a fourth generation farmer and a member of Carson United Methodist Church. He was Chairman of the Board of Prince George Electric Cooperative, a member of Old Dominion Electric Cooperative, and Past President of the Virginia, Maryland, Delaware Electric Cooperative. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 13th at Carson United Methodist Church. Interment will be private.
