Geraldine Q. Perkinson

Geraldine Q. Perkinson, 86, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026. Born in Sevier County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Joe Quilliams and Dollie Morgan Quilliams. She is also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Benjamin C. Perkinson, Jr.; her son, Rodney Perkinson; five sisters; and one brother.

Geraldine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Through her life, she enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. Most of all, she was devoted to the Lord and was a faithful member of Trinity Community Methodist Church. Geraldine was very involved with her church community and its activities, especially the Circle. She often participated in fundraisers for the Circle ministry. Her church family was her life, and they were very important to her.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Perkinson (Joanne) and David Peters (Donna); daughter, Beth Nicholson (Buddy); daughter-in-law, Cathy Perkinson; grandchildren, Joshua Perkinson, Sarah Kaspar, Ashley Harrup, Hunter Perkinson, Morgan McCoun, Abigail Nicholson, Noah Peters, Daniel Peters, and Mary Kann; 23 great-grandchildren; and other extended family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at Trinity Community Methodist Church in Church Road, Virginia, with Pastor Pennie Foy and Pastor David Peters. Interment will immediately follow the service at the church's cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
