Gerald “Jerry” Lee Brinkley, Sr., of Charles City, VA passed away on Monday, February 8, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Lee Brinkley; sister, Bobby Brinkley; brothers, Deaker and Keith Brinkley. He is survived by his loving wife, Jenna Brinkley; mother, Adelaide Butler; children, Dakotah Brinkley, Gerald Brinkley, Jr. (Tracy), Charlie Sears (Alanna), Tracy King (Michael); grandchildren, Kylee and Chayse Brinkley, David, Seth, Justus and Evan Sears; Shania and Kayla King; sisters, Adelaide “Peaches” Mastowski (Robert), Sandy Edwards; numerous extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 820 W. Broadway., Hopewell, VA 23860. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church 102 N. Union Street., Petersburg, VA 23803. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery.
