Georgia Townsend Holman

Georgia Townsend Holman, 78, of Hopewell, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. She never met a stranger. She was a loving wife and mother that loved cooking, giving advice, word puzzles and crafts. She is preceded in death by her parents, George L. and Sadie Moore Townsend; her loving husband, Edwin Bruce Holman; sisters, Gloria, Mary and Tina; brothers, Tad, George, James, and William. She is survived by daughter, Norma Ann Townsend; son, Roy E. Townsend (Janine); grandsons, Albert Steadman (Jackie), Brenton Owens, Roy Townsend, Jr.; granddaughters, Jessica Lloyd (Evander) and Tiffany Jones (Darren); great– grandchildren, Gabriel Lloyd, Kyleigh Lloyd, and Lincoln Jones; brother, Seth “Perry” Townsend (Anna); sister, Sadie Ann Townsend.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at the J.T. Morriss & Son Hopewell Chapel, 820 W. Broadway, Hopewell, VA 23860. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Appomattox Cemetery, with Reverend Rodney Jenkins officiating.
