George Benton Lamm Jr.

George Benton Lamm, Jr., 74, passed away on April 7, 2026. He was born to the late George Benton Lamm, Sr. and Leila Bailey Lamm.

He graduated from Hopewell High School, class of 1969, and attended East Carolina University, John Tyler Community College, and Virginia State University. He retired from the Richmond Times Dispatch after many years as a photographer and Systems Editor.

He is survived by his son, George Benton Lamm III of Henrico, VA; and his brother, Thomas Lamm (Tita Cua) of Irving, TX. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 14 at 10 AM at Claremont Cemetery.
