Gabriele Caecilia Archer

September 11, 1943 — May 4, 2025

Gabriele Caecilia Archer, 81, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 4, 2025. She was born in Germany, to the late Simon and Caecilia Spoetzl. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Floyd Archer, Jr.; and her brother, Georg Friedr Spoetzl. She was an avid reader who loved a good mystery, or knitting for her family. She was a very active member of the Memorial Chapel of Ft. Lee, singing in their choir and volunteering for many, many church events. She supported her husband's faithful service in the military and loved her family dearly. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Alice Owens (Thomas) and Janice Lukomski (John III); her grandchildren, Alexandra Owens and John Lukomski IV; and her adoring great-grandchildren, John Lukomski V and Kody Lukomski. The family would like to thank James River Home Health Hospice and to Lucy Corr for their care at the end of Gabriele's life. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at St. John Catholic Church, at 11 AM. The family will receive friends an hour prior. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to St. John Catholic Church.
