Friel Gray Burcham, Jr.

Friel Gray Burcham, Jr., 71, of Chester, VA passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Germany and raised in Bel Air, Maryland, he was the son of the late Friel Gray Burcham, Sr. and Retha Arline Butler Burcham; and was also preceded in death by his step-daughter, Bobbie Jean Silk.

Mr. Burcham was a graduate of Bel Air High School, and went on to be a highly dedicated and experienced Industrial Transformer Service Repair Expert in both the United States and Canada. He was a member of the Moose and enjoyed reading whenever he could. Mr. Burcham will be remembered as a loving and devoted family man, brother, and uncle.

He is survived by his life partner, Patsy Grace Davison; one sister, Laura Arline Jackson; his nephew, Matthew Jackson; two step-daughters, Trina Allen and Teresa Brown; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Road, Chester, VA 23831. Interment will follow in Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society in memory of Friel G. Burcham, Jr.
