Franklin C. “Frankie” Bryant, 68 of Hopewell, went to rest with the Lord on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his father, Emmett Clifton Bryant Sr., mother, Annie D. Bryant; two brothers, Johnny Bryant, Emmett C. Bryant Jr.; and a sister, Ruth Snowdy. Frank served in the United States Navy and retired as a Journeyman welder from Hercules. After retiring, he worked as a welder for G.M. Holt and as a highly skilled pipe welder for Alloy Cladding. He was actively involved in the community as a member of the American Legion, the Hopewell Moose Lodge 1472, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He is survived by his partner and lifelong friend Debra K. “Maw” Reason; his extended family Leonard H. Ellis, wife Cathy, and boys Austin and Brayden; Bryan E. Reason, wife Bethany; nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, June 6 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
