Frank "Frankie" McLean III, of Chester, VA, was born October 4, 1979, in Richmond, VA, but grew up in Chester. He passed into the arms of his savior, Jesus Christ, on June 26, 2025. He is the beloved son of Frank Carlton McLean, Jr. and Nancy Bennett McLean. He has also left behind a sister, Julianne Morris (Steven Morris); a nephew, Thomas Morris; a niece, Marion Morris; and his precious cat, Amelia; as well as many friends and relatives. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank Carlton McLean, Sr. and Doris McLean, of Hopewell; maternal grandparents, Wyatt Jennings "Bob" Bennett and Grace Bennett, of West Virginia; as well as honorary grandparents, Thomas and Audrey Sinclair, of Chester. He was a member of West End Presbyterian throughout childhood. Frankie attended C.C. Wells Elementary, Carver Middle, L.C. Bird High School, as well as spent several semesters at John Tyler Community College. He excelled in computer sciences, was musically inclined, was an avid animal lover, and especially loved his dear cats. His passion in life was to follow God's word, as well as create a cat sanctuary to protect strays that needed help. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
