Eva E. Riddle

Eva E. Riddle, 89, of Chester, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2013. She is preceded in death by her parents, James T. and Dora Emerson, husband, Morris Samuel “Sam” Riddle, Sr., sisters, Elva Cox, Fannie Bailey, Mary Herndon, Dean Yeatts, Alice Emerson, Nellie Berry; brothers, Glenn Emerson, Henry Emerson, John Emerson and James Emerson. Eva retired from Brown and Williamson after many years of service, and was a lifetime member of Rosewood Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two sons, Morris S. Riddle, Jr. and wife, Louise, and Dennis H. Riddle and wife, Dianne; two grandchildren, Wade R. Riddle and wife, Nora and Lindsay R. Jones and husband, J; three great-granddaughters, Ashley Riddle, Amy Riddle and Grace Jones; sisters, Martha “Patty” Hughes, Myrtle Casey and husband, Jack; brothers, George “Buck” Emerson and wife, Mildred, Edward Emerson and wife, Bertha; sisters-in-law, Margie Emerson, Lillian Emerson and many nephews nieces, and friends and neighbors. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2013 at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Merchants Hope Cemetery. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
