Eugenia Ruth Powers

Eugenia Ruth Powers, 90, of Hopewell, VA, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Franklin Reed and Willie Mae Violette; and her brother, Donald Reed. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Perry R. Powers, Sr.; son, Perry R. Powers, Jr. and wife, Ann; son, Donald E. Powers; son, Andrew V. Powers, Sr. and wife, Jessica; grandchildren, Christell Hitchcock and husband, Larry, Andrew Powers, Jr. and wife, Shannon, Chelsea Milks and husband, Brandon, Carol Johnson, and Katie Burton and husband, Jimmy; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Sharon Moody and Patricia Stevenson and husband, Carl; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Reed; as well as numerous extended family and friends. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Faith Baptist Church, 5501 Middle Road, Prince George, VA 23875. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., at the church. Interment will follow immediately in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens.
