Ernest Michael “Dee” DiVittorio, 85, of Chester, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014. Mr. DiVittorio was preceded in death by his parents, Pietro and Maria Giovannoli DiVittorio; his brothers, Victor DiVittorio, Pete DiVittorio, and Alfred DiVittorio; and sister, Emma Pierson. He was a proud veteran and retired from the U.S. Army after twenty years of service. Mr. DiVittorio later went on to retire after many years with the Internal Revenue Service. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed music. Mr. DiVittorio especially loved his dogs and cats. He will be truly missed. Mr. DiVittorio is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruby DiVittorio; his first wife, Wilma Joan DiVittorio; sons, Victor M. DiVittorio and his wife, Mary, Ernest M. DiVittorio and his wife, Susan, and Fred DiVittorio and his wife, Donna; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Roger DiVittorio and his wife, Fran, Jean Amey, and Diana Maslonka and her husband, John; and close family friend, Renee Williamson. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at St. John’s Episcopal Church.
