Erma Sisson

Erma Sisson of Wesley Chapel, Fl., formerly of Hopewell, VA, passed away Saturday, July 19th, 2025. She was the widow of Boyd B. Sisson of Hopewell, VA.

She was predeceased by her parents, Floyd H. Shumaker, Sr. and Otelia W. Shumaker; brother, Floyd H. Shumaker, Jr.; sister, Esther Balderson; and daughter, Susan Sisson.

She is survived by a loving 1st cousin that was considered a brother, Pete Ellington. Pete and his wife Linda were steadfast over the years but especially the last 2. Erma's son, Michael Todd Sisson and son-in-law James Sellers also survive her. James was devoted and supported Erma extensively in her final years and she expressed her love for him and all he did for her.

Michael was blessed, especially to spend her senior years with her as well as the 53 others. There is also a "Florida Family" that surrounded Erma and showered her with love for many years. They all loved Erma.

In keeping with her strict instruction and wishes, a service will not be held.

Entombment will be at Southlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum, Petersburg,VA.
