Erma Dailey King, 89, of Prince George, passed away on August 18, 2014. Born in Camden, AL she was the daughter of the late Tom J. and Vida Dailey; and was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Nathaniel Hartwell King, Jr.; and one daughter, Virginia Carol King Zaharek. Mrs. King was a retired nurse and a long time member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Colonial Heights. She is survived by her son, Nathaniel H. King, III and wife, Mary Beth; a daughter, Valerie King Joyner and husband, Luther III; six grandchildren, Natalie King Baker and husband, David L., Jr., April Joyner, Luther Joyner IV and wife, Julie, Frank Zaharek III, Christopher Zaharek and wife, Mary, and Nathan Zaharek; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Fred Adkins, officiating. Entombment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA.
