Erma Dailey King

Erma Dailey King, 89, of Prince George, passed away on August 18, 2014. Born in Camden, AL she was the daughter of the late Tom J. and Vida Dailey; and was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Nathaniel Hartwell King, Jr.; and one daughter, Virginia Carol King Zaharek. Mrs. King was a retired nurse and a long time member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Colonial Heights. She is survived by her son, Nathaniel H. King, III and wife, Mary Beth; a daughter, Valerie King Joyner and husband, Luther III; six grandchildren, Natalie King Baker and husband, David L., Jr., April Joyner, Luther Joyner IV and wife, Julie, Frank Zaharek III, Christopher Zaharek and wife, Mary, and Nathan Zaharek; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Fred Adkins, officiating. Entombment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060.
