Emerson William Sebera Sr. “Bill” 1ST SGT (Ret) 88 of Prince George passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2013. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rena Hopkins Sebera his one and only true love; his parents James and Anne Olivarius Sebera; eleven brother’s and sister’s. Bill served with the US Army during WWII, and continued to proudly serve for forty-one and a half years with the Army and in the Reserves. He worked for Hercules/Aqualon for thirty nine years, and has been a farmer all his life. Bill was a pillar in the community and respected by all that new him. He is survived by his daughters, Robin Sebera Piner and her fiancé, Lonnie Hyden, and Holly Sebera Stables and her husband, Danny; son, Emerson W. Sebera Jr. and his wife, Linda; grandchildren, Jeffrey and his wife Stephanie, Michael, Angelia Nicole and her fiancé Justin, Joseph, and Nicholas; great-grandchildren, Gillian Bree, Hailey Rae, Daniel, Joshua; brothers-in-law, Harry “Sonny” Hopkins who was his friend to the very end and his wife, Linda, Roger Collie; sisters-in-law, Dale Fermino, Judy Hopkins, and Mable Sebera; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Sycamore United Methodist Church, 9710 Old Stage Road, Prince George, VA, 23875. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the church with interment to follow at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens.
