Elva R. Jarrett

Elva R. Jarrett, 89, of Hopewell, died Sunday, September 13, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents Howard William and Clara J. Bogan Rodgers, her husband William V. Jarrett, a son Richard A. Jarrett and a grandson Richard T. Jarrett. She is survived by two sons, William D. Jarrett and Jerry V. Jarrett; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Carter Jarrett; six sisters, Anna B. Miller, Audrey E. Harold, Betty L. Smith, Clara L. Mayes, Rebecca F. Crego and Mildred Viands; two grandchildren, Jason Jarrett and Jill Jarrett Morgenstein; four great-grandchildren, Conner and Noah Hauck, and Justin and Joel Jarrett; devoted friend, Charles Brooks. Funeral service will be held 10:00 am Friday, September 18, 2015 at the Hopewell Church of the Nazarene, 509 Smithfield Ave., Hopewell, VA 23860. The family will receive friends from 6 pm-8 pm Thursday at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Interment will be in Bermuda Memorial Park.
