Elsie Elizabeth Grill Leslie

Elsie Elizabeth Grill Leslie, 106, of Chester, VA passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026. Born in Yonkers, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Delehanty Grill; and was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Marion George Leslie; and four siblings, May, Eleanor, Rita, and Vincent.

Mrs. Leslie loved cooking, sewing, going to the movies, and going shopping. She had worked as an operator for Nabisco while living in New York and then worked for Freidman Marks Clothing Company in Richmond, VA.

Mrs. Leslie is survived by her daughter, Joan Jacobs and husband, Calvin; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
