Eleanor Morris Russell

Eleanor Morris Russell, 92, of N. Chesterfield, passed away on May 25, 2026. She was born to William Samuel Morris and Rose Etta Morris on April 25, 1934. She was married to James William Russell for many years and cherished him until his passing.

Eleanor was an active member of Harrowgate Worship Center for 30 years. She loved music, her daily devotionals, and the prayer ministry at Harrowgate.

Eleanor is preceded in death by her husband, James William "Bill" Russell; granddaughter, Wendy N. Hoskin; daughter, Debbie Lovelace; grandson, Garret Horne Lovelace; and son-in-law, Ricky Horne.

Left to cherish her memory include Linda Gayle Hoskin (Rick), Rita K. Russell, Carol H. Tate (Jim), James W. Russell, Jr., Ricky Hoskin (Debby), Brock Hoskin (Marlee), Emmanuel Russell, Anna Parris (Allen), Sarah Champion (Ace), Jason Johnson, Crystal Russell, April Moss (Travis), and Philip Bradley (Lilia), along with a special niece, Becky Warf; great-grandchildren, Ella, Ezra, Daschel, Holden, Max, Bree, Elijah, Braden, Caleb, Dayscha, Bayne, Logan, and Nolan.

A funeral service for Eleanor will be held at Harrowgate Worship Center, on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park immediately after. The family will accept friends one-hour prior to the service at 10:00am.
