Edwina Boisseau Baskerville, 103, of McKenney, passed away on September 7, 2013. Born on February 24, 1910, she was a native of Dewitt in Dinwiddie County. Mrs. Baskerville was the daughter of the late Willard Boisseau Sr. and Edwina Clay Boisseua; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. George T. Baskerville; two sisters, Montelle Boisseau and Byrd Boisseau Perkinson; three brothers, Alton Boisseau, Lloyd Boisseau and Willard Boisseau Jr.; and two nephews, Elmore Boisseau and Coleman Boisseau, Jr. Mrs. Baskerville was a graduate of McKenney High School. She worked in banking, at Camp Pickett during WWII and later with her husband as a dental assistant. She also served on the City Council for McKenney. She was an avid bridge player and golfer. Mrs. Baskerville was a member of the Brunswick and Petersburg Country Clubs, the Ladies Southside Golf Association; and Good Shepherd Episcopal Church. She is survived by her daughter, Madelyn Doyle Howell and husband Burke; a granddaughter, Lynda Weston and husband, Ernie; one grandson, Steve Howell and wife, Amy all of Richmond; three great-grandchildren, Tyler Howell, Delaney and Reid Weston; two nieces, Fran Hannah and Betsy Robinson. The family would like to thank her wonderful and loving caregivers who have taken care of her over the past few years. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2013 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
