Edna Marie Andrews Vest

Edna Marie Andrews Vest, 83, of Chesterfield, passed away at home surrounded by family on Thursday, June 13, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Aubrey Allen and Alease Virginia Cole Andrews. Mrs. Vest was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Linwood Irvin Vest; and brother, Eugene Allen Andrews. Edna Marie had a passion for music and was an avid bingo player. She was a retired employee of Brown & Williamson Tobacco Co., proud member of the Phillips Auxiliary Fire Department, and faithful member at Believers Christian Fellowship Church in Ford, VA. She is survived by two sons, Henry Aubrey Vest (Martha), and Louis Irvin Vest (Dorothy); three granddaughters, Jennifer Vest Autry (Scott), Pamela Vest Farrow (Andy), and Hannah Marie Stalnaker (Todd); grandson, Henry Aubrey Vest, Jr. (Elysia); one sister, Thelma Blaha (Sonny); six great-grandchildren; neighbors, Tommy Bannister, Ann Perkinson, and many dear friends in the neighborhood. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, June 17, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Second Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, 2nd Branch Road, Chesterfield, VA 23838. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to Believers Christian Fellowship Church, 8804 Wells Rd., Ford, VA 23850 and/or Phillips Auxiliary Fire Department, 10630 River Rd., South Chesterfield, VA 23803.
