Edmond Robert "Bob" Jones

Edmond Robert “Bob” Jones, 87, of Hopewell, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Latney and Alice Persinger Jones. Bob was a member of Powers Memorial Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher and Deacon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired from Allied Chemical as a pipe fitter after many years of service. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking. Bob is survived by his wife, June M. Jones; two daughters, Vickie Williams and husband, Pete, and Linda Hartman and husband, Mike; two sons, Allen Jones and wife, Wendy, and Thomas Jones and wife, Milana; nine grandchildren, Brianna Riley and husband, James, Sara Clement and husband, Matt, Thomas Jones Jr., and wife, Nicole, Timothy Hartman and wife, Lauren, Rachael Hartman and fiancé, David, Rebecca Oakley and husband, Trey, Mark Jones and fiancé, Nicole, Samuel Hartman, and Erica Jones; and eight great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 4:30 P.M., on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service until 7 P.M.
