Earnest "Danny" Lanier

Earnest Daniel “Danny” Lanier, 76, of S. Chesterfield, passed away Tuesday, August 06, 2013. A lifelong resident of the area, he was the son of the late Hinton L. and Ethel Daniel Lanier. Danny worked at Brown & Williamson for several years before starting a career as a small engine mechanic. He retired after several years at Connor Small Engine. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle. He was a devoted father to his youngest son, Carl Lanier, who predeceased him. Danny is survived by a son, Richard Lanier and his mother, Rosie Spain; sister, Joyce Daulton; brother, Malvin Lanier and his wife, Dorothy “Aunt Dot”; nieces and nephews, J.J. Daulton, Wayne Traylor and his wife, Jennelle, Kathy Brown and her husband, Bruce, Renee Williamson, Keith Lanier, and Allan Lanier; great-nieces, Caitlin and Kelsey; and the gang at Connor Small Engine. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 9th at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
