Earlene Gay Graves

Earlene Gay Graves, 78, of Hopewell, departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior, on Monday, May 5, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Connie D. and Ilene Stripling Gay. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, William Howard Graves, two brothers, and one sister. Mrs. Graves was a volunteer with Kenner Army Hospital working with cancer patients, enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie E. Loving and her husband, David, Linda G. Jackson, Pamela G. Gillinger and her husband, Butch; grandchildren, John, Rebekah, Daniel, Theresa, Brian, Melissa, Tracey, Jennifer, Kiersta; twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Gay; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014 in Appomattox Cemetery, with Chaplin Gary Griffith, officiating.
