Douglas Wayne Slaughter, 58, of Prince George, VA, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026. Born on September 8, 1967, in Fort Lee, Virginia, Doug is preceded in death by his daughter, Molly Slaughter; his paternal grandparents, Garland and Alice Slaughter; as well as his maternal grandfather, James McDorman; and maternal grandmother, Janet Miller.
Doug is survived by his wife of 18 years, Julie Slaughter; his stepson, Jason Vaillancourt; his father, Michael Slaughter (Anita); his mother Donna Booth (James); his sister, Erin Slaughter (John); his nephew, Christopher Musselwhite (Alexis); his stepsisters, Tina Harris (Andrew), and Katrina Procise (Derrick); several aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
Doug spent 23 years supporting the US military as an Auditor for the Department of Defense. Doug loved his family and feline family (Sugar), and was the biggest fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He never missed a game on television and attended as many live games as possible. He loved motorcycles and old muscle cars, and leaves a 1971 Chevy Nova for his wife and son to restore.
The family will receive friends from 10:00am - 11:00am on March 5, 2026 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, with the service following at 11:00am. Interment will immediately follow at Blandford Cemetery.
