Dorothy S. Sanchez

Dorothy S. Sanchez, 85, of Hopewell, VA, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ossie Strickland and Fammie Collins Strickland; two brothers; and two sisters. Born in North Carolina, Dorothy spent most of her adult life in Virginia. She enjoyed working in her yard, gardening, and shopping. She loved remodeling her home and working on small projects herself. Dorothy worked hard her whole life in the manufacturing industry and looked forward to retiring early. She is survived by her son, Clifton R. Stone (Cheryl); daughter, Anita S. Gambill (John); grandchildren, Jason Stone (Stacy), Jonathan Stone, and David Hall, Jr. (Shannon); and five beautiful great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all who loved her.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Appomattox Cemetery in Hopewell, VA.
