Dorothy Mayton

Dorothy Adeline Mayes Mayton, 88, of McKenney, widow of Bernard W. Mayton, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2006. Born in Dinwiddie County, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur W. and Nannie Wray Mayes. She is survived by her sons, James W. ?Jim? Mayton and wife, Ellen of Colonial Heights, B. Wayne Mayton and wife, Connie of Hopewell, and Darryl Edwin Mayton and wife, Dawn of Quincy, IL; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 PM Thursday, February 16, at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Mrs. Mayton was a lifelong member of Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church, McKenney, where a funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday. Interment will follow at Asbury Cemetery.
