Dolores (Holland) Lane

Dolores (Holland) Lane, 80, of Hopewell, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in Hopewell, she was known by most simply as "Dee". She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank R. and Elizabeth (Bocz) Holland; her twin sister, Frances R. Holland; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roy B. and Lola (Miller) Lane; and the love of her life, her husband of more than 57 years, Gary Lee Lane.

Dee is survived by two daughters, Sherrie Lane Davis and her husband, Matthew, and Sara Lane-Blackburn and her husband, Anthony; eight grandchildren, Adam, Abby, Dalton, Mary, Angel and her husband, Shawn, Wyatt, Kayla and her husband, Cole, and Kimberly and her husband, Chris; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Jandl and Betty Johnson and her husband, Don; one brother, James Holland; sister-in-law, Barbara Eastman and her husband, Wayne; brother-in-law, Ted Lane and his wife, Belinda; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; and many beloved fur-babies.

She graduated from Hopewell High School in 1964, had a few small jobs, but her love for the Lord led her and Gary in 1977 to found the SuperKids Ministries for individuals with special needs.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the SuperKids House located at 5500 Middle Road, Prince George.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Woodlawn Baptist Church in Hopewell with Rev. Dawson Bailey officiating. Friends of the SuperKids will provide a repast in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SuperKids Ministries.
