Diane Gail Teresa Parker

Diane Gail Teresa Parker, 57, of Hopewell, VA, passed away on August 23, 2025. Born and raised in Hopewell, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen Esque. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph Ferguson and Charles Cassell; and a cousin, Donna Bryant.

Diane attended Hopewell High School. She was a lover of puzzles, the outdoors, and she enjoyed fishing, gardening, and going on cruises. Diane will forever be remembered as a devoted homemaker for her children and grandchildren. She cherished time spent with her family and friends.

Diane is survived by her loving husband of nine years, Bobby Parker, Jr.; her children and their spouses, Brittany McComber (Jose Quinones), Amber McComber (Katelyn Breckley), Michael Cook (David Geckle), and David Cook (Charis Cook); grandchildren, Jayden McComber, Jose McComber, Brianna McComber, Alexis Abel, Jay'Lyn Breckley, Zoey Cook, Jace Cook, Brantley Cook, and Kinsley Cook; brothers, Charlie Esque (Rhonda Esque), Richard Esque, and Carl Ferguson; and sister, Hazel Fox. Diane was deeply loved and will be truly missed by her step-children and step-grandchildren.

A funeral service for Diane will be held at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 1:00pm, with interment following at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends the day prior, on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Hopewell Chapel from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions in Diane's memory can be made to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation or St. Jude's Research Hospital.
