It is with deep sorrow and broken hearts, we announce the passing of David "Dave" William McAllister, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, who left us far too soon on May 28, 2025.
Dave was born on November 16, 1973, in Petersburg, Virginia, and grew up in Prince George County, Virginia. During high school, he volunteered at the Jefferson Park Fire Station Co#5 and Prince George Fire Department Co#1, where his passion for helping others blossomed. After graduation from Prince George High School, he had the honor of serving his country in the United States Marine Corps, where his dedication earned the respect of everyone he served with. He also served his country by enlisting in the United State Navy where his love for his country defined him. At the time of his passing, Dave was a valued employee at Philip Morris in Richmond, where he worked for 19 years.
In September of 2003, Dave married the love of his life Misty. Together they shared dreams, laughter, and a love that was evident for all that knew them. He was a dedicated father to his two sons, Blake and Brady.
Dave had a passion for hunting, firefighting, the Pittsburgh Steelers, NASCAR, and his family. He found joy in the little things such as drinking his early morning coffee on the front porch, animals, and making others laugh. His presence lit up every room, and his kindness and willingness to help touched countless lives. He was also a member of City Point Restoration Church.
He is survived by his wife, Misty McAllister; his children, Blake McAllister, and Brady McAllister; his parents, William McAllister, Jr. and Susan McAllister; his sister, Kimberley Moskowitz (Matthew), their children, Abigail Bolling (Zach) and Kylie Moskowitz; his brother, Matthew McAllister (Jessica) and their children, Hope McAllister and Jack McAllister; father-in-law, David Rozier; sister-in-law, Sherry Nyquist (Robert), their children, Dylan Nyquist, Parker Nyquist, and Caroline Nyquist; brother-in-law, Michael Rozier (Darlene), and their children, Caleb Rozier, Luke Rozier, Kayla Rozier, and Max Rozier; and many extended family and friends that will miss him dearly. His memory will live on in the countless stories, love, and laughter that he gave so freely.
A celebration of Dave's life will be held at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, burial will take place at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 p.m. All who loved him are welcome to attend and share in honoring his memory.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in his name, to the Prince George Fire and EMS foundation. https://www.princegeorgecountyva.gov/public_safety/police_department/public_safety_foundation.php
