Daniel Douglas Steck

Daniel Douglas Steck, 75, of Bracey, VA, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Ruth Elizabeth Steck.
Daniel retired from Alstom in 2010, after 35 years of dedicated service. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Vivian Elizabeth Steck; son, Jason Steck; daughter, Katie Steck and her children; sister, Gayle S. Fargo (Jim); step-sons, William and Melissa Stanton, George and Jennifer Stanton, and Don Mardock; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nieces, Mary Rice and Laura Lopez.
All services will be private. The family is being served by the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Daniel's memory to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, the St. Joseph Indian Reservation or Mecklenburg Volunteer Fire Department.
