Daniel Philip Mayer

Daniel Philip Mayer, 58, of Petersburg, VA, died January 22, 2025. Born in Dayton, OH, and raised in Petersburg, VA, he was the son of Philip Esek Mayer, Jr. and Louise Gill Mayer. He is survived by his sister, Debbie Paige (Mayer) Wills. Daniel received his education from Petersburg High School (Class of 1984), Richard Bland College, and George Mason University studying economics and German. While living in Myrtle Beach, SC, he owned a small business, The Computer Specialist. Known for his high intelligence, wordsmithing, and eccentric flair, Daniel had eclectic interests including languages, role playing games, world politics, reading, playing guitar and keyboards, all things computer, and mixed media art. A private memorial service will be held at a future date.
