Dana L. Curtis

Dana L. Curtis, 86, of Chester, VA, passed away on June 24, 2025. Born to the late Harman and Ruby Conn, Dana was a native of the Chester area and graduated from Thomas Dale High School in 1957. Following high school, Dana went to college and became a Registered Nurse, a position she worked for 35 years.

Dana was a devoted mother and grandmother who deeply cherished her family. She was also an animal lover and enjoyed spending time with her pets, especially her dogs. Dana was known for her giving and generous spirit, and she possessed a deep faith in God. She enjoyed attending church and lending her voice to many local church choirs.

In addition to her parents, Dana was preceded in death by her sister, Jackie McPherson. Left to cherish Dana's memory are her son, Dennis Curtis Jr.; daughter, Michele Grundler; grandchildren, Grant Murray, Blayne Curtis, Shayne Curtis, Zane Grundler, and Caden Grundler; and brothers; Bruce Conn and H.R. Conn.

A funeral service for Dana will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 11:00am, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA.
