Crystal Gayle Pickering-Dutton passed peacefully on June 3rd, 2026, extending her journey with her Lord and Savior. She was a loving mother, sister, wife, and friend—a radiant soul whose warmth touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Crystal carried the sunshine with her wherever she went. Her love of the outdoors, the open sky, and the sound of waves brought her from Ohio to sunnier shores, where she could fully embrace the life she cherished. Whether at the beach or in her own backyard, Crystal was most herself when the sun was on her face.
Above all, Crystal was a maker of memories. She poured her heart into time spent with her sons, her sister, her husband, and her dear friends—gathering moments like treasures, knowing that love is measured not in years but in the depth of the lives we touch. She cherished her friends as deeply as family, and she had an extraordinary gift for making a friend wherever she went. Her resilience was unmatched, her spirit unbreakable, and her smile unforgettable.
Crystal is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Charles "Chuck" and Peggy Pickering. She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Dutton; her two sons, Trevor Lloyd and Zachary Taylor; her sister, Missy Pickering Anderson (Mark); her nephew, Dylan Anderson (Brooklynn); extended family; and a beloved community of friends.
A celebration of life will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son. All are warmly invited to come and honor a life well and beautifully lived. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.
"She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future." ~ Proverbs 31:25
