Concepción Cabrera

With deep love, the family announces the passing of Concepción Cabrera, affectionately known as "Abuela," on November 30, 2025, in Chester, Virginia, at the age of 98. She was born on January 1, 1927, in La Concepción, Yoro, Honduras.

She was a devoted mother of six sons; and one daughter; and the proud grandmother of twenty-three grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Concepción was a charismatic, sensitive, sweet, and welcoming woman-always generous, respectful, and responsible. Her great passion was cooking, and her greatest joy was seeing her family gathered around the table.

Her passing leaves a deep emptiness, but her legacy of love, kindness, and family united will forever remain in the hearts of all those who loved her.

A visitation will be held at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM. The funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Prince George, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 11:00AM.
