Claude Edward Kingery

Claude Edward Kingery, 89, of Prince George, VA, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026. Claude was raised in Petersburg, VA and was the son of the late Frank and Daisy Kingery.

He joined the Army/Navy Reserves and served as Chief Cook Instructor, then spent the rest of his career as a construction superintendent.

Claude was the last of his siblings, and he now leaves behind his wife of 71 years, Alpha Elizabeth Abell Kingery; daughter, Claudette Lynn Mays (Greg); son, Russell Edward Kingery; grandchildren, Ethan Mays (Elizabeth), Melissa Westbrook (Ian), Rachel Boswell (Taylor); great-grandchildren, Brantley, Whitney, and Charlotte.

Claude never met a stranger and will be truly missed. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alpha would be appreciated. Contact Lynn Mays, 804-690-6302 for donation information.
