Clarence Victor Moore Jr.

Clarence “Vic” Victor Moore, Jr., 90, passed away on July 30, 2013 at the Meadow Glen Assisted Living Residence, in Leesburg, VA. Born in Petersburg, VA, Vic was the son of the late Clarence Victor Sr., and Julia Braxton Moore; and was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Love Moore. Vic was an U.S. Army veteran having served during WWII, and was also a graduate of Washington and Lee University and Ohio State University. Mr. Moore was a retired geologist for the Standard Oil Company, and had many hobbies including photography and ham radio. He is survived by his daughter, Cherie Ann Geide and husband, Kenneth; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
