Christopher John Sexton, 39, of Prince George, VA, passed away on May 21, 2025, in Virginia Beach, VA. Born in Petersburg on October 23, 1985, and raised in Prince George, VA, he was the loving son of Melinda Miller Sexton and the late Brian Patrick Sexton. He was also a loving brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend.
Chris was a 2004 graduate of Prince George High School and a 2010 graduate of Marshall University, where he received a bachelor's degree in business. He went on to become the founder and owner of TruCare Homes, LLC, a group home healthcare company. Through his business, Chris was a dedicated leader who touched many lives with his compassion and commitment to serving others. Chris's love of golf began when he worked for Jordan Point Country Club for many years. He was a member of Petersburg Country Club.
He is preceded in death by his father, Brian Patrick Sexton; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Jeanne Sexton; and maternal grandparents, John and Barbara Miller. He is survived by his loving mother, Melinda Miller Sexton, of Prince George, VA; his brother, Scott and sister-in-law, Meagan; his cherished niece and nephew, Carter and Landon, of Midlothian, VA; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Chris spent most of his life in Prince George, VA, before moving to Virginia Beach, VA, in recent years. His priority was spending time with his family and friends. Known for his smile, quick wit and warm heart, he was loved instantly by all who met and knew him. Chris left a lasting impact on everyone, and he will be deeply missed.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Woodlawn Baptist Church, in Hopewell, VA. Interment will follow at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. Post interment, the family will receive friends at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
