Christine Moncol Belsches

Christine Moncol Belsches, 96, a lifelong resident of Prince George County and widow of James Cobert Belsches, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Susie Balint Moncol, and was also predeceased by a sister, Emily M. Mistr and a brother, Andrew Moncol. A retired Fort Lee civil service employee, she was a charter member of Gregory Memorial Presbyterian Church and a charter member of the Prince George Woman’s Club. Mrs. Belsches is survived by her sons, Alan Thomas Belsches and wife, Jane of Dothan, AL, and James Cobert Belsches, Jr. of Petaluma County, CA; grandchildren, Sara Green and husband, Justin of Memphis, TN, Adam Belsches and wife, Philippa of Crozet, VA, and Theodore Belsches of Birmingham, AL; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Belsches, Andrew Belsches and Thomas Belsches; brothers, Paul Moncol and wife, Virginia of Surry, VA, and Dr. Daniel Moncol of Raleigh, NC; sister, Helen Tankersley of Olympia, WA; and a devoted friend, Jo White. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 30th at Gregory Memorial Presbyterian Church with The Reverend Beverly Bullock and The Reverend Nancy Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
